Dear Parents and Guardians,
What a wonderful start to the school year! Our students have embraced the return to school with enthusiasm, and it has been a joy to see classrooms filled with excitement, curiosity, and learning. Thank you for your partnership and support as we continue to foster a caring and connected Mount View School community. We are looking forward to a fantastic year of growth and learning together.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our Muffin Mixer! It was a pleasure to reconnect with returning families, welcome new members to our community, and spend time together as we launched the new school year. We are especially grateful to our School Council and Parent Association volunteers for helping create such a welcoming and enjoyable event. Your support plays an important role in strengthening our school community.
To help keep families informed, we will continue to share a weekly school update each Friday with important news, reminders, and upcoming events. This update will be posted here on the website and you will get an email notification of the posting.
Teachers will also provide regular classroom communications so you can stay connected to your child's learning experiences and progress. We appreciate your ongoing engagement and partnership.

Important upcoming dates in September:
September 10 – Meet the Teacher (5:30-6:30 pm) - teacher presentations at 5:35 & 6:05pm.
September 10 is also our 1st School Council Meeting starting at 6:45 in person in the Learning Commons.
September 24 – Terry Fox Run *** Volunteers Needed
September 25 – Non-instruction day (no school for students)
September 30 – National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (no school) & Orange Shirt Day
Terry Fox Run
Mount View School is proud to take part in this year's Terry Fox's No Matter What School Run. Our run this year will take place on Thursday, September 24 from approximately 9:15-10:30. This year we will be running around our school property this year as Munro Park is under construction. Parents or family members are welcome to join us for the run.
We want to continue the legacy of supporting the run and honour the values Terry Fox has instilled in so many. Please support the students in reaching their running goals by ensuring they have their running shoes, water bottles and a healthy snack packed for that day.
