We are in June, and the countdown begins!!! Thank you to Ms. Burger for organizing a fun health and wellness day. Also, a huge thank you to all the MVS team and volunteers for helping with the stations.
There are many things happening this month; please read the teacher weekly and school weekly messages to mark the important dates. Also, if you are heading out for early summer vacation, we would appreciate you informing the school and fill the form for extended leave.

Enrichment Celebration:

It’s time to celebrate!
The students have completed their second option of Enrichment and are excited to share with you what they have learned. The students are so proud of the projects they have created. They want to show them off!
You’re invited to celebrate student's learning on Friday, June 7th from 12:00 - 12:35
There will be two rounds of presentations to allow for the opportunity to view more than one Enrichment project. The first round of presentations will take place 12:00 - 12:15. The second set of presentations will take place from 12:20 - 12:35.

Kindergarten and New Student to MVS Open House – June 6 (5:00 pm–6:00 pm)
As we look forward to this school year ending, we are also eagerly planning for next year. Parents and students that are new to Mount View School and/or are joining us for Kindergarten in the fall are invited to attend our orientation evening on June 6. The orientation will be held from 5p.m. until 6p.m.
During this evening, we will tour the school, meet some of the staff and learn more about what makes Mount View amazing.
Please email Allyson Heggie, Assistant Principal, at alheggie@cbe.ab.ca to confirm that you will be joining us. In the email please also indicate the grade that your student is in.
Library Books
Next week (June 3-7) will be the FINAL WEEK FOR BOOK EXCHANGES. All books are due back by Friday, June 14th for the summer break. Ms. Danielle will do a draw for a small prize for anyone who has returned all their books ON TIME!!
Mount View School Garden
As the weather warms, classrooms have started a variety of seeds that will be planted out in a few weeks. We are also hoping to fill some of our garden with perennials to add some colour and interest to our wonderful community garden. If you have any non-invasive perennials you would like to donate, please reach out to Emily (emthompson@cbe.ab.ca) to arrange for drop off!
