Dear Parents and Guardians,
The summer energy is alive and well at MVS this week! Each class participated in an art lesson with Ms. Heggie, SOGO adventure running and all of the amazing activities their teachers planned.
We were disappointed to have had to cancel our Sound Kreations performance. Students will still participate in the residency and dance classes, however, and we are happy to announce that. Maybe this is a great opportunity for students to show you their dance moves at home!
Thursday June 19th 10:30am -12pm We would like 20 volunteers (police clearance needed) to help run stations for Activity Day! Station examples: mini golf, three-legged race, sack race, target toss, target kick, bowling, hula hoops, skipping, bubbles, snack and temporary tattoos.
Volunteers, please arrive at 10:15 to help set up your station. Please comment if you cannot stay the entire time and/or if you have a particular station you prefer to help at. All other stations will be decided upon arrival on June 19th. Thanks for making this day a success! Please e-mail hmburger@cbe.ab.ca directly with any questions
Hoodies, sweaters and more!
With the warmer weather, kids are leaving many clothing items behind in the field or inside the building. Our Lost and Found is overflowing!
Please come look through the items and claim what is yours. Items left behind will be either donated or discarded at the end of the school year.
Thank you!

Message from School Council
CANCELLED: Protecting our Children in the Digital Age
This just isn't our year! Unfortunately the presenter just cancelled on us.
We'll try again next year.
Last School Council Meeting had to be Cancelled — No Chair in Place
Step Up. Be the Voice Our School Needs.
Don’t wait for someone else. Be the one who makes a difference.
When no one steps up, momentum is lost. Voices go unheard. Opportunities for improvement slip away. When we assume “someone else will do it,” we risk letting our school’s potential fade into silence.
By stepping into this role, you’ll help guide priorities, support initiatives that strengthen learning and wellbeing, and be a crucial link between parents, educators, and school leadership.
You don’t need to be an expert — you just need to care. If you’re someone who values education, and wants to see our school thrive, you’re exactly who we need.
It’s a small commitment (~1hr/week) and an opportunity to lead with purpose, to connect with others, and to help build a school community we can all be proud of.
Your voice matters. Your leadership matters.
Be the one who steps up.
