Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have had a wonderful, busy first week back here at MVS after spring break.

Our field is quite sloppy. If you could please ensure that your student comes with a change of clothes for when they get wet, it would be appreciated.

Order forms for the whole school photo are due Monday! We are not able to accept late forms. If you have misplaced the form or have not received one, please check the school website for information HERE

When dropping students off in the mornings or picking them up in the afternoons, please ensure that you are following traffic safety rules. We ask that students and guardians use the designated crosswalks when crossing the street and pay close attention to traffic. We also ask that drivers are alert and constantly looking for pedestrians. Parking at the curbside is allowed in front of the school, and we ask that drivers maintain an appropriate distance from the curb to maintain the safety of those on the sidewalk.

Swimming Lessons:

Unfortunately, Renfrew Pool will not be able to host us for swimming lessons this school year. We were aware of the fact that the pool will be undergoing renovations when we booked our lessons for June. However, the pool has extended the renovation time-line and we will no longer be able to attend lessons this year.

Ani to Pisi:

Ani to Pisi is a Blackfoot teaching of our connections with one another and teaches us about ‘vibrations’. These ‘vibrations’ could be positive experiences or challenges that are faced throughout our lives.  Ani to Pisi serves to teach us that our actions and behaviours, positive or negative, have an effect on others. We are doing our whole school enactment of the human spiderweb on April 9th at 9:00 am and parents are welcome to join us. Check your child’s backpack for Media Release forms if you have not completed them already and/or opted for no we have resent the forms home. Please email Ms. Heggie at alheggie@cbe.ab.ca to confirm if you will be in attendance.
