Dear MVS Families,
Welcome to March! It is hard to believe spring is around the corner. This weekend we “spring forward” – clocks are set forward one hour for daylight savings time.
The weather is ever changing in Calgary, please prepare your child for the day accordingly. It can be cold, snowy and icy in the morning, but sunny and very wet, muddy in the afternoon. Please send spare clothes with your child in case they need them. Thank you.
Student Learning Conferences
Student Learning Conferences will be on April 16 and 17. We will provide details in future weekly messages.
(At the start of the school year, the spring conferences were originally scheduled for the days before spring break, this had to be changed and now will take place on the evening of April 16th and the afternoon of April 17th).
Report Cards
Report cards are now available for viewing online on your MyCBE/Powerschool account. This term we provided comments for ELAL and Math in Kindergarten to Grade 3 and ELAL, Math, and Physical Education for Grades 4 to 6. Next term we will provide Physical Education comments for Kindergarten to Grade 3. Only the current report card is available at a time. The end of year report card will contain the mid-year report card information as well. You may want to save/print the June report cards for your records. If you are looking for past report cards please contact the school office.

Join the parent community for a fun, practical session on turning everyday moments into powerful reading and writing opportunities. Parents and children are welcome for this dine and learn event. Doors open at 6:15pm. To help with planning, so there is enough food available, please register before March 6th: Parent Night SignUp
Book Fair Trivia Night – brought to you by Ms. Danielle and Owl’s Nest Books
Family book shopping and fun trivia! Doors open at 5:30; trivia starts at 6pm.
