Dear MVS Families,
It's amazing how quickly time flies! Our first semester was filled with enriching experiences as students benefited from a variety of field trips that boosted their learning. The success of our initial enrichment phase, highlighted by students proudly displaying their projects to parents, underscores our vibrant school life. We're blessed to have specialists in Music and PE, Ms. Baker and Ms. Burger, who offer lunchtime activities for students to explore their musical and athletic interests.
Our commitment to land-based learning will continue into the next semester, aiming to enhance our students' learning through the CBE Indigenous Education Holistic Lifelong Framework. Alongside our steadfast focus on Literacy and Mathematics, our school places a significant emphasis on nurturing the school's core values of Empathy, Perseverance, Cooperation, and Responsibility within our students. This commitment goes above academic learning, aiming to cultivate well-rounded individuals who can navigate the complexities of society with compassion and integrity. By integrating these core values into every aspect of our educational approach, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages students to not only excel academically but also to develop a deep sense of social responsibility.
I'm grateful for the ongoing support from our parent community and school council. We're excited about the upcoming semester and committed to making it an unforgettable learning journey for our students. A heartfelt thank you goes to the staff at Mount View for consistently placing student learning and well-being at the heart of their daily efforts.
As we look forward to more inspiring moments, I'm reminded of a quote that captures the essence of our educational journey:
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
Let's continue to empower our students with this spirit, guiding them toward a future filled with hope and possibilities.
Regards,
Tejinder Kang
