Dear Parents/Guardians,

The first week back was a great success! Students settled in beautifully, and the energy across Mount View School was inspiring. Thank you for your continued support in building a strong, connected school community. We are excited for the year ahead and grateful to work together with you in your child’s learning journey.   

Thank you to all the families who joined us for the Muffin Mixer! It was wonderful to connect, share conversation, and kick off the school year together. Our School Council and Parent Association volunteers helped make it a warm and welcoming event, and we truly appreciate your support in building a strong school community.   

We will be sending out weekly messages every Friday to keep you informed about important updates and events. In addition, teachers will also share weekly classroom updates to help you stay connected with your child’s learning. Thank you for staying engaged and informed!

September 11 – Meet the Teacher (6-7pm) - teacher presentations at 6:00 & 6:30pm ** School opens at 5:55pm
September 24 – Terry Fox Run *** Volunteers Needed (please check with Gabriela to make sure we have your 2025-26 Annual Volunteer Registration Form
September 26 – Orange Shirt Day 
September 29 – Non-instruction day (no school for students) 
September 30 – National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (no school) 
   
Terry Fox Run 

Mount View School is proud to take part in this year's Terry Fox's No Matter What School Run.  Our run this year will take place on Wednesday, September 24 from approximately 9:15-10:30. This year we will be running at Munro Park. Parents or family members are welcome to join us for the run. 

We want to continue the legacy of supporting the run and honour the values Terry Fox has instilled in so many.  Please support the students in reaching their running goals by ensuring they have their running shoes, water bottles and a healthy snack packed for that day.
