Welcome to 2026 

 

Welcome to 2026! We are excited about this new beginning and all the opportunities it brings for our school community. Our teachers are already working hard with your children to deepen their understanding of the learning taking place each day. Together, we look forward to fostering curiosity, growth, and confidence in every student. Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we embark on another wonderful year of learning. 

 

 

2026-27 Registration Opens January 12 

Kindergarten/New student registration 

Registration opens for kindergarten, as well as for new Grade 1–12 students, for the 2026–2027 school year. 

Children are eligible for kindergarten in September 2026 if they turn five years old on or before Dec. 31, 2026.

 Alternative programs for current students 

Alternative and Language programs provide CBE families with choices to meet the learning needs of each child. Programs offerings include (but are not limited to): 

All Girls 

Arts-Centered 

Indigenous Focus 

Language programs (Mandarin bilingual, early and late French immersion, German bilingual, Spanish bilingual) 

Montessori 

Science 

Traditional Learning Centre

January 14 – MVSC/MVHSA meeting online at 6:30pm, Meeting Link  

January 5-8th – PE Gymnastics unit - mat work, trestle and benches  

January 12-15th - PE Gymnastics unit - mat work, trestle, benches and Canadian Climber  

January 19-22nd - PE Gymnastics unit - Mission Impossible Course 

January 28 – Fun lunch (Panago – please order online – Healthy Hunger website – orders due 5 days before the event) 

January 30 – PD day, no school for students 

February 2-9 – Alien In-Line inline skating residency
