Dear Parents and Guardians,

February is a busy month with many themes and celebrations happening in our school community. We kindly ask you to take a moment to review the teacher email that was shared on Friday. This message outlines the class plan for Valentine’s Day card distribution. As a reminder, please do not send snacks or treats with Valentine cards.

From February 15–25, our school will also be focusing on Kindness, leading up to Pink Shirt Day on February 25, which reminds us of the importance of embracing kindness in our actions and words every day.

Thank you for your continued support in helping make these activities meaningful for our students.

Alien In-Line

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Parent Association for sponsoring our Alien Inline Residency. Your generous support made this engaging and memorable experience possible for our students.

A special thank‑you as well to our wonderful instructor and to Ms. Burger for keeping our students motivated, active, and having fun throughout the residency. We truly appreciate your energy and dedication!

Donation to Mount View School

If you would like to make a direct donation to support Mount View School please go through Education Matters. Currently we are running a campaign to support our LEAD students participating in fieldtrips with their Community Classrooms. We aim to raise $3000 to support students by removing financial barriers to meaningful outdoor learning. Many families face challenges providing winter clothing or covering field‑trip costs, which can limit participation in valuable experiences. Funds raised will ensure every student can join our outdoor adventures—exploring nature, building leadership skills, and strengthening community—fully equipped, warm, and included. All donations, with Education Matters, over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt. Also, some corporate companies will donation match – remember to ask your workplace if this is possible.
